Brane Drain

Created for the Game Maker's Toolkit 2024 Game Jam, "Built to Scale"

Brane - an extended object with any given number of dimensions, of which strings in string theory are examples with one dimension.

Story:

You have been stranded in a bizarre pocket dimension with floating objects of all sizes. Collect materials and create a wormhole to find your way back home.

Controls:

- Use the mouse to steer your ship

- Left click to fire your absorption laser

- W/S to control throttle

- A/D to strafe

Objective:

You are the pilot of an experimental univer-hopping starship. After a freak explosion causes your ship to teleport through quantum dimensions you must now use your ship's laser to absorb materials and generate an artificial black hole to make your jump home. In this place, objects are random and abstract but still pose a very real threat. Collect what you need and avoid crashing into the alien artifacts.
